This is to die for! I don't know how I'll ever eat store-bought syrup again!
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. butter
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. vanilla
*Mix and boil for about 5 minutes on high, or until it is a good syrup consistency.
*Store in refrigerator and heat in microwave when you want to use it again. (I put mine in a mason jar so I could store/heat it easily). This recipe makes about 1-1/2 cups of syrup, about enough for 8-10 waffles.
