Farmhouse Chicken Bake

This one comes from Goodeness Gracious and was brought to our freezer exchange this month. Looks amazing!

Ingredients
  • 8 oz Elbow Macaroni
  • 2 T Butter- Divided
  • 4 Green Onions Chopped
  • 2 T King Arthur All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 t Dried Thyme
  • 4 Cups Cubed Chicken
  • 1 Cup Frozen Peas- Thawed
  • 8 Slices Bacon or Turkey Bacon- Crisped and Crumbled
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheese
  • 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
Make Sausage Alfredo in 15 Min.
 
Instructions
  1. Prepare macaroni.
  2. Melt 1 T butter in a skillet and sautee chopped green onion.
  3. Gradually add flour until smooth.
  4. Gradually add milk and broth until sauce forms.
  5. Add remaining ingredients except bread crumbs and butter.
  6. Stir ingredients and place in a casserole dish.
  7. Combine melted butter and bread crumbs.
  8. Top dish with bread crumbs.
  9. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
