Crisco's Irresistable Peanut Butter Cookies

These are really yummy! Making a bunch today for our big road trip so my kids can have something sweet to snack on. Definitely a good pick for a recipe to try out!

3/4 c. creamy peanut butter (I used Adams)
1/2 stick Crisco baking sticks, butter flavor all-veg shortening
1-1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 large egg
1-3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt

*Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended.
*Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended.
*Drop by rounded tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheet. Flatten slightly in a crisscross pattern with tines of fork.
*Bake 7-8 minutes, or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to cooling rack to cool completely.
