This is my aunt's recipe that she makes every Christmas. It's so amazing and perfect for Christmas treats!
Spray jelly roll pan with nonstick cooking spray. Layer graham crackers on bottom. Sprinkle with slivered or sliced almonds (optional).
In medium saucepan, mix together:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Bring to a boil over med-high heat and let boil for 3 minutes. DO NOT STIR. Pour over crackers and bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
When you pull out of the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and put back in the oven for 2 minutes and spread chocolate out evenly. (You can also use melting chocolate). Top with chopped nuts if you like. Let cool and break apart.
